Statement from Purple Futures on HMI Probation’s report – 26 May 2016

A spokesperson for Purple Futures said: “We welcome the independent inspectorate’s report, and will review our practice in the light of the findings that have been published today.

“However, we would like to make clear that our priority is public safety. We would therefore never discourage staff from taking the appropriate action to breach or recall offenders to prison in order to avoid financial penalties.

“We are proud of the work being carried out by our CRCs as our staff strive to help people turn their lives around, and we are committed to doing the right thing.”
